Welcome to Grace!
Thanks for visiting our webpage – a “Front Porch” to our community.
Come on in and look around. As pastor at Grace, you’ll see me around at various activities through the week: wearing jeans for work-projects, casual business attire for meetings and office work, clergy-shirt and vestments for Sunday worship.
Stop by and say hello when you’re in the area. Everyone is welcome.
I think of “welcome” more as a verb than as a noun. In fact, it is the first of four verbs
that we value highly:
Welcome. We welcome you regardless of your denomination, background or experience.
Many of our members grew up in a denomination other than the Lutheran
Church and have found a church home here at Grace.
Connect. Our fellowship area at Grace is called “Connections” to encourage us to
connect with one another in fun, faith, and fellowship as we seek to
build and strengthen genuine community.
Equip. We strive to equip one another as people of God with life-long learning.
Send. Refreshed and strengthened by grace, we then go into the world
as people who make a difference.
We are proud of our rich Lutheran heritage where God’s grace is the DNA of everything.
We have a strong tradition of music in the long-standing hymns of the church and in the musical compositions of today. Our heritage is one of faith that is active in society, with a compelling theology that says “church” is a place for support, renewal, enrichment and care.
There’s so much more that can be said, but the best thing now is to come! Spend some time with us, and please introduce yourself, so that we can begin on a first name basis.
We have a saying:
“Grace is a place of faith, hope and healing for all”. And “all” means all. Everyone is welcome.
I hope to see you in church sometime soon.
Grace and Peace in Christ,
Pastor John
